This pattern for South Seattle's Land and People was created at The En pop-up gallery in Columbia City, Seattle, curated by Tommy & Casey Gregory. Tar from the old flooring has colored the porcelain slip, the slip wears off as people walk across it, thus they take some of the blessing of the pattern with them and spread it over the land it is intended to bless and spread it's energy more broadly.
